Laurel wand with bark handle
Length: 42 cm/16.5 inches
Date of Collection: December 21st 2009
This wand was collected from a Laurel tree overlooking the Temple of Apollo at Delphi on the Winter solstice of 2009. It was no coincidence that a laurel wand presented itself at this site as laurel is sacred to Apollo, the Hellenic god of light and sun. Apollo is also associated with light, truth, prophecy, medicine and the arts. So this wand would benefit anyone working within these fields.
The special features of this wand are its many gnarls and holes, as well as the crimson resin running through the length of the wand to emerge at the tip. I have also left the bark on the handle in tact to enhance the channeling of the powerful energy present in this laurel wand.
